Vicky Autry Obituary

 Ms. Vicky Covington Autry was born to the late Brenda Thomas Covington on December 22, 1956, in Asheboro, NC. She was raised by her mother and "Daddy Cliff". She peacefully left for eternal rest on January 28, 2024.

Ms. Autry was preceded in death by her late husband, Joe Autry, her parents, two brothers, James Winfred and Glenwood Cassidy, and her sister, Pamela "Yvette" Siler.

In her early years, Vicky attended Central High School and enjoyed playing softball. She was a dedicated CNA worker for more than 30 years of her adult life. Her favorite pastime was playing spades. Vicky had a heart of gold. She would always welcome others into her home with open arms. She had a passion for cooking and backing, which she learned from her mother. Vicky Lynn was also known as Vicky Wicky, Baby Huey, Packy, but most of all "Big Chief". She loved sports cars, especially Mustangs. She had a unique way of making others smile, laugh and feel good about themselves. She was well know and loved by many in the community.

She leaves to cherish precious memories her one and only son, Todd Covington (Lakeema) of Asheboro, NC, two sisters, Wanda Ferree and Sharon Steele, on brother, Johnny Covington, three sister in laws, Melissa Cassidy, Ann Gladden(Tomecka) and Gretrude, one aunt, Mary Frances Williams (Dr. Bishop J. Harold), two uncles, Ronald Covington (Norma Jean) and James Sonny Covington, aunts, carolyn McSwain, Arletha Badger (Robert) Diane Lambert, Vanessa Womble, uncles ronald Lambert ( Janet) and Joseph Lambert (Venita) brother, Patrick Lucas (Francine), six grandchildren, Todd (Lind), Ta'Eisha (Amanda), Brianna, Todzah, Tavon, and Latoya (Schpeedio), 12 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, caretakers and special friends that she loved and cherished. Special thanks to Eastside Fire Department, EMS and Hospice of Randolph, special Thanks to T.G. special care giver.
